Real estate is a competitive industry. There are countless other REATLORS® in your community competing for the same clients and listings. Because of this, it’s important for REALTORS to aggressively market themselves, and one of the best way to do this is with social media.
There are over 700 million users on Instagram and over 2 billion users on Facebook. Many of the users on these platforms are potential buyers and sellers that are hoping to connect with a local real estate agent. In fact, a recent survey conducted by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) showed that 99% of Millennial buyers started their search for a home online.
Because so many buyers and sellers are on social media, agents can miss out on valuable opportunities by not joining them on these platforms. But unfortunately, many agents are still not using social media to connect with clients and grow their business.
HomeSelfe recently conducted a survey of members of the NAR and Residential Real Estate Council (RRC). The purpose of this survey was to determine if REALTORS are using social media, and if so, how they are using these channels. The results revealed that although many REALTORS are currently on social media, they are not using it effectively. How should real estate agents be using social media? Can social media help REALTORS generate new leads? Take a look at this infographic to get the answers to these questions and more:
